how to build a genuine relationship part 2

section 1

Another vital aspect of building a genuine relationship is the openness of your own life. We should be an open book ii timothy 3:10-11 to those we have relationships with. Our goal should consist of a life that is an ever-excelling i timothy 4:15-16 philippians 3:14-17 letter from Christ to all He gives you opportunity to have sincere relationships with ii corinthians 3:3 .

ii timothy 3:10-11

You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, 11 my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me.

return

i timothy 4:15-16

Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress. 16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.

philippians 3:14-17

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. 16 Only let us hold true to what we have attained.

17 Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.

So, in the pursuit of building a true relationship one needs to be sacrificially open-hearted ii corinthians 6:11-7:3 especially with the family of Christ psalm 133:1-3 matthew 12:48-50 in hopes that there will one day be reciprocation ii corinthians 6:13 ii corinthians 8:13 .

We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians; our heart is wide open. 12 You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted in your own affections. 13 In return (I speak as to children) widen your hearts also.

14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,

"I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them,

and I will be their God,

and they shall be my people.

17 Therefore go out from their midst,

and be separate from them, says the Lord,

and touch no unclean thing;

then I will welcome you,

18 and I will be a father to you,

and you shall be sons and daughters to me,

says the Lord Almighty."

7:1 Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.

2 Make room in your hearts for us. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have taken advantage of no one. 3 I do not say this to condemn you, for I said before that you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together.

The reason is because God fellowships with us in Truth and Love ii john 1:1-3 john 15:14 and people themselves desire a genuine love from others, even when they do not necessarily want to give it proverbs 19:22 , for in the long term the pleasant quality of true friendship manifests itself in sincere Love AND Truth proverbs 27:9 i corinthians 5:8 .

As a believer, we will not be able to have true fellowship with the people of this world ii corinthians 6:14-7:2 genesis 1:4 genesis 3:15 proverbs 29:27 . No, we are to do good to all men with Truth and Love galatians 6:10 titus 3:8 . ephesians 5:1-14

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

3 But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. 4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. 5 For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not become partners with them; 8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,

"Awake, O sleeper,

and arise from the dead,

and Christ will shine on you."
